Bishop Curtis Sweet and Co-Pastor Rhonda Sweet along with the members of Higher Heights International Ministries honored their Seniors and Church Mothers, (“Gems”) in a special church service on Sunday, August 16. These loyal saints faithfully serve the Lord, devotedly attending and serving the church, as they are able, sometimes in spite of aches and pains.

Family, friends and church members lovingly paid tribute to each of the honorees, or “Gems” on this special day, and each of these awardees received presentations of gifts and flowers and dinner on behalf of Bishop Sweet Co-Pastor Rhonda Sweet and the members of the church.

The church service reflected a beautiful outpouring of love for its very special members. The program began with a prayer offered over the service and in gratitude for the awardees, followed by a joyful praise and worship service and other musical selections. Bishop Curtis Sweet offered personal words of appreciation for the “Gems”, many who are long-time members of the church.

Bishop Curtis Sweet also introduced the featured speaker of the day, Rhonda Sweet. The title of her sermon, “I’ve Got a Seed in the Ground” featured scriptures taken from Genesis 8:22, 23. She brought the church to its feet in a rousing message that as Christians we must believe in the principles of sowing and reaping and harvesting as Biblical concepts.

Additionally, she said, “It is possible that we may have to wait on the Lord and hold on for a new season, and as long as we plant good seed, we will reap even more than what we sow.”

Bishop Curtis Sweet in his closing remarks declared “It’s Harvest Time” and even though we may have sown a seed years ago, it may be our heirs, our children and even our grandchildren, who may reap the increase and the blessings.

Higher Heights International Ministries is located at 1731 East Wood Street Phoenix, 85066.
