Cloves Campbell, board chair of the Arizona Informant Newspaper, announced that Vada O. Manager will serve as honorary dinner chair for the 50th Anniversary Gala celebration on Dec. 9. The dinner will be held at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix. The black-tie affair will begin with a cocktail reception at 6pm followed by dinner at 7pm. There also will be a silent auction with the proceeds going to the Arizona Informant Foundation.

Manager is founder/CEO of Manager Global Holdings, LLC and a principal/board member of Think TRUE, a Black-owned/led, multicultural marketing agency. Previously, he was a member of the Corporate Leadership Team at Nike Inc. and served on several M&A transaction teams which ac- quired Converse and Starter. He served in a very similar role at Levi Strauss & Co. and also was an investment banker (vice president, public finance).

Manager serves as G&N board chair for leading retail services automotive aftermarket company Valvoline, Inc., which was spun (via a 2016 IPO) from global specialty chemical company Ashland Global Holdings. As a board member for the Helios Education Foundation, he serves on the finance (chair) and nominating committees. He recently served as chair of the premier leadership university the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) Civilian Public Affairs Committee.

Manager also served as a vice president of prominent Washington, D.C. based consultancy Powell Tate (now Weber Shandwick). While at the firm he led a team to South Africa to assist in transition consulting with the newly-elected administration of President Nelson Mandela.

Manager has an extensive background in business strategy along with sports/corporate/brand communications. His past professional affiliations and/or institutional clients include: former Secretary of the Interior and Gov. Bruce Babbitt;
