East China Sea is the setting, on Nov. 1, as Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Leamondre Rhodes, of Phoenix, scans the sea for surface contacts on the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey — DDG 105.
Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force 71/Destroyer Squadron 15, which is the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force, according to a military press release.
