
Vocalist Jesse Washington will present the third annual Pre-Thanksgiving Musicale Concert 2pm Sunday, Nov. 21. The 2020 concert was called due to COVID-19 but is back on track for this year.
The event will feature Washington along with his special guest piano duo Jeanette Cline and Roz Pederson. It will include gospel, contemporary gospel, classical, show tunes, patriotic songs and jazz.
Washington has experience in community theatre, light opera, local churches and was a two-year member of the San Francisco Opera Company. Most recetly, his has appeared as a regular participant in the City of Chandler Spice of Life shows, various events in Sun
Lakes, Sun Bird, Trilogy, Maricopa and other venues in east and west Valley locations.
Described as “Two Piano Keyboards, Four Hands,” Washington’s guests are active mem- bers in the music community. Since moving to Sun Lakes Cline has been a music coordina- tor for the Sun Lakes Women’s Connection, as well as organized and directed the Keyboard Connection, an ensemble of 14 ladies at 14 piano keyboards. She sings in the Sun Lakes Chorale and is music director and accompanist for the Sun Lakes theatrical production of Charlie Brown. She also is an ongoing teacher with the Cline Music Studios.
Pederson an oganist and pianist has taught music privately and in the public schools, performed as a soloist, accompanist in musicals and participated in national competitions. She spreads her musical talents locally, statewide and abroad. Yet, she says she is still not sure “what she wants to be when she grows up.”
The musicale will take place in Sun Lakes at the IronOaks Country Club Banquet Room, located at 24218 S. Oakwood Drive (Riggs Road and E.J. Robson Boulevard). Seating will be theatre style and follow COVID-19 guidelines. Masks are encouraged.
