For the fourth out of five years Positive Image Sports partnered with the HEAAL Coalition which hosts a Cereal Fest at Parsons Center for Health and Wellness in downtown Phoenix.
Just shy of a hundred youth appeared on Saturday, Dec. 18, and enjoyed the opportunity to eat 22 different types of cereal during an hour event.
Former Phoenix Suns center Oliver Miller and singing sensation Debbie Sledge of the nationally known singing group Sister Sledge, along with 18 other volunteers, served cereal while passing out Christmas presents to each and every youth in attendance.
The HEAAL Coalition took the opportunity to share the importance of avoiding drugs, tobacco and prescription drugs.

In addition to receiving Christmas presents, the youth had a chance to win Chromebook computers as well as bicycles that were donated by Pure Heart Church in Glendale.
“Watching these kids exit the building at the end of the event with their hands full, their stomachs full and smiles on their faces definitely carries me through to the new year.”
